A top 100 AM Law firm is seeking Real Estate Transactions & Finance Associates with 3–6 years of experience to join its expanding Real Estate Transactions & Finance practice in California.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside nationally recognised real estate leaders on sophisticated, large-scale transactions across a broad range of asset classes.
Location:
This role is open to the firm’s San Francisco, Los Angeles, Redwood City and Costa Mesa
Responsibilities
- Advise on a wide range of real estate transactional matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, development, and joint ventures
- Draft and negotiate mortgage loan documents, purchase and sale agreements, and core transaction documents
- Manage closing checklists and oversee transaction closings from start to finish
- Support real estate finance transactions, preferably on the borrower side
- Assist with leasing, construction, development, and joint venture matters (experience a plus)
- Collaborate across offices and practices on complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions
- Work with clients across diverse sectors including office, multifamily, hospitality, retail, industrial, mixed-use, energy, cannabis/CBD, entertainment, and technology
Qualifications
- 3–6 years of broad transactional real estate experience
- Demonstrated experience with mortgage debt financing and purchase/sale transactions
- Experience with leasing and joint ventures is a plus
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Confident working both independently and collaboratively
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, “builder” mindset
- Active California Bar membership in good standing
- Competitive base salary range: $250,000 – $370,000, commensurate with experience, location, and qualifications
