The San Francisco, CA office of Lewis Brisbois, a full‑service AmLaw 100 firm, is actively seeking an attorney to join its Labor & Employment Practice. The role requires extensive client, governmental agency, and opposing counsel interaction and offers a high‑level, proactive, and passion‑driven position within a sophisticated practice.
Responsibilities
• Draft and respond to discovery and initial pleadings.
• Draft, argue motions, and take and defend depositions.
• Manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Engage with clients, government agencies, and opposing counsel.
Qualifications
• Admitted to practice in California.
• One to fifteen years of experience in employment law matters.
• Prior employment litigation experience required (preferably on the management side), including single plaintiff claims, PAGA, Wage & Hour, and FEHA matters.
• Employment counseling or in‑house employment law experience preferred.
• Strong writing and analytical skills.
• Substantive litigation experience with a demonstrated interest in labor and employment law is acceptable for developing attorneys.
• Comfortable drafting and responding to discovery, pleadings, motions, and depositions.
Compensation & Benefits
Minimum Salary: USD $ per year. Maximum Salary: USD $ per year.
