PositionDescription
Our client is seeking Real Estate Associates with 2–8 years of commercial real estate experience to join its San Francisco office. The roles provide the opportunity to work with highly regarded real estate attorneys on sophisticated, high‑value matters for a broad client base, including developers, investment companies and advisors, pension funds, and REITs. Associates will handle complex transactions across joint ventures, acquisitions and dispositions, finance, leasing, and general commercial real estate work, with significant responsibility and direct client involvement.
Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate:
- Complex real estate joint venture, LLC, and partnership agreements
- Acquisition and disposition agreements
- Loan documents and related financing materials
- Commercial leases, including office, retail, and industrial
Manage transactional due diligence, including title and survey review
Support real estate development, financing, and investment transactions nationwide
Coordinate with internal teams and external clients to facilitate efficient transaction execution
Handle both team‑based and independent work streams with increasing responsibility
Provide clear, organized, and analytical written work product
Required Qualifications- Experience at a major law firm is strongly preferred
- 2–8 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions
- Background in one or more of the following:
- Joint ventures
- Acquisitions and dispositions
- Leasing
- Transactional due diligence, title, and survey review
- Development of commercial real estate
- Excellent writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively while managing significant individual responsibilities
- Admission to the State Bar of California
- Strong academic credentials
- Experience representing Developers, Investment firms and advisors, Pension funds, or REITs
- Experience with data center leasing (helpful but not required)
- Ability to handle a broad mix of transactions and adapt quickly in an entrepreneurial team environment
