A highly regarded international law firm is seeking a Litigation Legal Analyst to provide semi-autonomous, complex case support to attorneys in all phases of litigation including discovery, trial, and appeal. The Legal Analyst also assists attorneys with case development and strategy, client management, working closely with experts and co-counsel and may provide workflow coordination duties. This position will work under the direction of attorneys and/or Director of Administration and Legal Support and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Supervise case workflow and case support

Investigate facts, court rules, and case law

Assist with case preparation strategy

Assist in the preparation of motions and depositions

Initiate and monitor docketing with Compu Law system and monitor trial calendars

  • This will be an on site role to start then open to hybrid option with 3 days in office
KNOWLEDGE/

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Minimum of 10 years' experience preferred

California Only:
Bachelors degree and/or paralegal certificate required

Must satisfy requirements of California Business & Professions Code §6450 et seq.

Certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred

Outside of California:
Bachelors degree and/or paralegal certificate preferred but not required

Extensive knowledge of computer systems and programs including Word, Excel, DIALOG, Relativity, Concordance, Lexis/Nexis, e-mail and internet

Extensive knowledge of legal terminology, processes, and definitions as well as all phases of discovery and trial

Extensive knowledge of available legal resources and references materials as well as court rules and case law

Excellent problem identification and problem-solving skills

Excellent editing and proofreading skills

Ability to balance multiple complex tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines in a timely manner, and meet the demands of trial work
