We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist I to join the Customer Reporting team. Reporting to the Director of Data Science and partnering with Product and Customer Success, you will build data products that enable our customers to understand the impact Spring Health is creating for their organization. This full‑time, hybrid role is based in our San Francisco hub at 2 Embarcadero Center, with an expectation to be in the office 2–3 days per week and periodic travel up to 25%.

• Inform how we refine the Customer Experience Product Roadmap to pursue innovative AI/ML capabilities that give our customers their “WOW” moment
• Be part of a team of innovative Data Scientists building the analytics story that demonstrates Spring Health's value to customers
• Analyze data across all aspects of the member mental health journey to show our customers the value of their investment and provide actionable insights on how to further improve member wellbeing
• Provide thought leadership in how we evolve our customer data story

• Customers and internal stakeholders are highly satisfied with the quality of work produced
• Customers and internal stakeholders trust the data provided; reports and data sets are reviewed for consistency and quality
• Requests are completed in a timely manner while maintaining a high standard of quality
• You have worked with a partnering Product Manager to implement additional AI/ML capabilities into our products
• You demonstrate ownership and expertise of measurement domains for specific products
• Bring ideas forward that help us innovate our customer experience products and deepen our customer data story

• Degree in a STEM‑related field and 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist
• Expertise in advanced SQL and proficiency in Python
• Experience developing predictive models to solve business problems and deploying them in production
• Hands‑on experience building pipelines in dbt and developing end‑to‑end visualizations in Looker (or other data visualization platform)
• Humble, highly motivated, and thriving in fast‑paced environments
• Exceptional communication skills and a track record of frequent interaction with customers
• Proven ability to proactively manage priorities and dependencies in alignment with cross‑functional teams and product/business impact
• Passion for navigating ambiguous problem areas and learning new approaches
• Enthusiasm for mentoring others and helping to scale processes
• Exceptional analytical creativity and expert at designing analyses that tell a compelling story
• Obsessed with outcomes, whether achieved by ML models or spreadsheets
• Passion for changing the face of mental health care and alignment with Spring Health’s mission
• Ability to travel periodically (≤25%)

The target base salary range for this position is $183,000 – $223,300, part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits.
