Product Designer, Product Engineer
Role Overview
Bucket Robotics is hiring a Head of Business Development to define and own the end-to-end product experience—from the moment a qualified lead enters the pipeline to a successful, trusted deployment on the factory floor.
You’ll sit at the intersection of sales, engineering, and customers, turning cutting‑edge computer vision technology into something manufacturers can adopt, trust, and scale. This role is ideal for a product leader who is deeply customer‑driven, technically fluent, and excited to build product workflows from scratch in a real‑world industrial setting.
Responsibilities- Own the customer journey from qualified lead → pilot → production deployment
- Design onboarding flows that take customers from CAD upload to validated inspection results
- Define what success looks like for pilots, evaluations, and production rollouts
- Translate customer workflows and factory constraints into clear product requirements
- Work closely with the CEO and engineering team to shape product direction and priorities
- Partner with sales to support technical evaluations without becoming a sales role
- Define and track product metrics such as time-to-first-inspection, activation, and pilot-to-production conversion
- Continuously refine the product based on real-world deployments and customer feedback
- 5+ years experience in product management or product leadership roles
- Experience shipping complex technical products (enterprise, ML, robotics, or infrastructure‑adjacent)
- Strong technical fluency—comfortable discussing ML systems, APIs, and deployment constraints
- Customer‑obsessed mindset with a focus on adoption, onboarding, and trust
- Enjoys wearing many hats and operating in early‑stage, ambiguous environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with robotics, manufacturing, industrial automation, or computer vision
- Background working closely with enterprise or industrial customers
- Experience owning onboarding, pilots, or post‑sales product workflows
- Familiarity with edge deployment, hardware‑software systems, or ML platforms
- Previous startup or early‑stage company experience
- Competitive salary & meaningful equity – shape the product and share in its success
- Comprehensive benefits – health, dental, and vision insurance
- Professional development budget – attend conferences, take courses, grow your skills
- A chance to build something real – work directly with manufacturers to bring AI vision into production environments
