Data Scientist, Data Analyst
We’re a proprietary trading firm building systematic quantitative strategies in crypto. Since 2018, we’ve been a consistent liquidity provider across major venues- helping markets become more efficient and mature, while staying comfortable operating at the frontier as market structure evolves.
Our core strategies span market-making, HFT, and statistical arbitrage. We’re a team of engineers, technologists, researchers, and traders who build end-to-end systems: robust data and research pipelines to uncover edges, and low-latency infrastructure and execution software to capture them in production. We trade at scale (~$1B in daily notional volume) in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly competitive environment.
We’re looking for the brightest, most driven people to join us- collaborative problem-solvers who want ownership, impact, and the chance to work with a team that brings 100+ years of collective quantitative finance experience.
About the positionWe are seeking a Trader to join our Trading Operations team. Our mission is to ensure every aspect of trading runs seamlessly, efficiently, and intelligently. In this role, you will be directly responsible for helping us scale our strategies to new markets. You will also help us build tools to progressively automate the management of our trading and respond to changing market dynamics.
This role primarily covers Asian hours and requires a high degree of autonomy. While working independently is essential, we strongly prefer in-person attendance at our office to facilitate team collaboration when needed.
Job responsibilities include:
- Overseeing automated trading processes—monitoring positions, exposure, and P&L, and investigating issues as they arise.
- Managing collateral and capital across exchanges to maximize efficiency.
- Building deep understanding of crypto trading mechanics, including margin, leverage, fee structures, and API constraints.
- Serving as primary point of contact with exchanges and optimizing our participation in market maker programs.
- Troubleshooting system issues, reading trading logs, triaging errors, and implementing hotfixes when needed.
- Writing, modifying, reviewing, and debugging the code that supports the trading systems.
- Reviewing and reconciling accounting data and P&L from multiple sources.
- Executing operational tasks such as opening accounts, creating API keys, and handling non-automated trades.
- Identifying process improvements and implementing automations to increase efficiency.
We're not focused on narrow technical experience. Instead, we value smart, adaptable thinkers who take ownership and thrive under pressure. We're more interested in how you approach problems than what you already know. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Deep interest in trading concepts and crypto exchange mechanics (slippage, fees, funding rates, spreads, etc.)
- Strong problem solving with the ability to understand markets, interactions, identify failures in complex systems and execute solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly evaluate quantitative tradeoffs in real time, triage tasks, and identify the highest return in a dynamic environment.
- Moderate programming ability, with a focus on debugging emergent issues, and problem-solving exchange interactions: able to read code, understand trace backs, write code to interact with exchange APIs, and critically evaluate AI-generated suggestions.
- Exceptional organization and follow-through—able to manage multiple tasks and ensure none are dropped.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate across developers, quants, back office, and external parties.
- Adept at operating in a frenetic, high-stakes environment with long and irregular hours; a willingness to take on tasks outside of your comfort zone and work with others to elevate yourself.
- Self-learner mentality with high responsiveness, including outside of structured work hours.
The annual total compensation for this position is $150,000 – $200,000+. Final offers are determined by a variety of factors which may include, as applicable, a candidate’s technical expertise, educational background, years of experience, etc.
- Fully paid medical and dental insurance for all employees and dependents
Competitive 401k match and generous wellness benefits.
Meals at work and other perks.
