The Sr. Project Manager - with Service Now domain expertise will oversee the end-to-end implementation of Service Now across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading complex Service Now deployments, with a strong preference for experience in the utilities sector. This is a role requiring strategic leadership, cross-functional coordination, and hands-on program management expertise.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Lead the full lifecycle of the Service Now implementation program, from planning and design through deployment and stabilization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, operations, and business units to define requirements, scope, and success criteria.
- Manage vendor relationships, including Service Now partners and system integrators.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.
- Drive change management, training, and communication strategies to support adoption.
- 7+ years of experience in a Sr. Program Management role.
- At least 7+ years experience leading Service Now implementations.
- PMP, ITIL are strongly recommended
- Service Now CIS Certifications in two of the three Service Now apps is required: ITSM, ITOM or SSM
- Experience implementing Service Now in a utility or energy sector environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory and operational requirements specific to utilities.
- Must have experience with Service Now integration implementation approaches used to manage workflows and data with legacy systems..
- Deep understanding of Service Now modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and SSM.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and third-party vendors.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Builds stable working relationships internally
- Follows standard practice and procedures when analyzing situations or data
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent coordination skills and a team player
- Ability to identify issues and elevate as needed
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Commitment to quality, reliability, and continuous improvement in support of mission.
- Must be fluent at using either agile or waterfall project management methodologies.
- Must be able to manage the program to the required budget, in addition to providing budgetary forecast and burndown reports on a scheduled basis.
- The Program Manager needs working fluency across SDLC models.
- Must be able to develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Must be able to monitor program performance, manage risks, and resolve issues proactively.
- Must be able to provide regular updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- PMP, ITIL, and Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist certifications with 7+ years of demonstrated experience.
