our client is currently seeking a qualified desktop provisioning specialist to join their team onsite in san francisco, ca and provide end‑user support. This role will be a critical part of a diverse team that manages devices' and services' deployment, configuration, and lifecycle from procurement through asset disposal. The specialist will maintain in‑depth knowledge of cutting‑edge technology and services and be the final escalation point for the team and user base.
dutiesand responsibilities
- provide logistical support for an upcoming large device deployment
- effectively manage a queue of 50+ tickets while fulfilling other daily responsibilities
- provision mobile devices for new hires and existing employees
- responsible for dispatching replacement devices for internal users who have submitted requests for broken or faulty devices
- possess a strong grasp of policy enforcement, while concurrently educating users to comply diligently with established policies
- respond promptly to escalations for technical support via slack and email
- support team in device forecasting, auditing, recycling of used devices, and disposal preparation
- frequently engage in collaborative efforts with support teams to identify and resolve problems and find effective solutions
- troubleshoot hardware and issues with devices
- support the existing mobile provisioning team in daily operational duties
- experience with devices and their usage in a mid to large‑size enterprise
- demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills when supporting users
- exhibit a high level of professionalism in providing excellent customer service and exercising sound judgment to provide timely resolution of problems
the rate for this position is between $18.75 - $25.00 per hour
, unless local minimum wage is higher. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
