AWS Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) is a technologist with deep domain-specific expertise, responsible for addressing advanced concepts and feature designs within the AWS sales organization. SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve, crafting scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures. They may guide customers in refactoring an application or designing new cloud-based systems using AWS Agentic AI services such as Amazon Quick.

• Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge to GTM teams to unblock customers’ largest and most critical business challenges.
• Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public‑speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re:
  
  Invent, etc.
• Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best‑in‑class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
• Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject‑matter experts worldwide, creating field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.

• 7+ years of specific technology domain experience (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• 7+ years of experience with distributed applications (design/implementation/operations/consulting)
• 2+ years of building machine learning models or developing algorithms for business applications
• Hands‑on experience in building Intelligent Virtual Assistance

• Experience working with end‑user or developer communities
• 8+ years of communicating with and presenting to executive and senior audiences
• Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases (relational or No
  
  SQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, and/or Windows)
• Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems for data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets
