Job SummaryThe Enterprise Citrix Administrator plays a crucial role in Platform Services within Infrastructure Services, specializing in managing and optimizing the Citrix environment. This role is accountable for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Citrix systems that publish virtual applications and desktops. The Enterprise Citrix Administrator will ensure these systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with UCSF business goals and IT standards.
The role positively impacts UCSF's operations and culture by ensuring the IT infrastructure is operable, secure, efficient, and effective in service of the university’s academic mission. This team member will advance UCSF’s mission by delivering exceptional IT services comprehensively and consistently across faculty, staff, and students, while modeling UCSF’s vision, culture, and values.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be governed by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The current annual salary range for this position is $113,800–$242,800.

- High school diploma or GED.
- Three or more years of experience in one or more of the following fields:
Citrix administration, including Citrix Virtual Apps or Citrix Desktop. - Demonstrated successful experience in information technology, platform services, or Epic Client Systems.
- Thorough knowledge of Citrix virtual apps and desktop administration. Skilled in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Citrix environments to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Strong customer service skills. Ability to triage and escalate to supervisors and/or other teams for resolution.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate technical information and ideas to a diverse community of colleagues and stakeholders.
- Able to establish and advance positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities and support concurrent projects. Experience working in a project‑based environment using leading project management practices including schedule management, status reporting, and communication of project risks and issues.
- Strong demonstrated problem‑solving skills; scopes solutions based on knowledge of available resources and timelines. Able to ask questions, gather information, evaluate options, and make decisions with integrity.
- Think creatively and propose innovative ideas, including the incorporation of new technologies or processes. Able to work with agility in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with Epic Client Systems Administration.
- Knowledge of network architectures, including WAN, LAN, and cloud network technologies, as well as security protocols and firewall configurations.
- Awareness of IT compliance requirements, including
- Ability to automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Power Shell, Python, or Bash.
- Citrix Certified Associate - App Delivery and Security (CCA‑AppDS)
- Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization (CCA‑V)
- Epic Client Systems Administrator
