Senior Project Manager, Software – Hanwha Q CELLS America

As the Senior Project Manager, Software, you will plan, execute, track, and report on testing, qualification, performance, and release of new products, while integrating components such as inverters, batteries, MLPEs and other software applications into a seamless system level solution. You will manage the overall schedule of software development efforts, serve as the interface between product management, software and hardware engineering, design, Dev Ops, QA, field testing, and sales, and ensure product requirements are correctly implemented on schedule and within budget.

The position reports to the Director, Software Product Strategy or another senior management member. It can be based in Santa Clara, CA;
San Francisco, CA; or Irvine, CA, and requires up to 20% travel.

• Lead end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) from initiation through delivery and post-launch support
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as appropriate
• Maintain and prioritize backlogs
• Define project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
• Manage cross-functional stakeholders across multiple business functions
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues
• Foster collaboration and accountability
• Communicate project status, milestones, risks, and dependencies to leadership and stakeholders using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms
• Track progress, manage changes in scope, and ensure alignment with business objectives
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and product requirements
• Coordinate testing, deployment, and release management activities
• Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and organizational performance
• Take assignments with a sense of urgency; deliver solutions and results in a timely manner; can‑do mentality, pro‑active working attitude, and hands‑on approach

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or a related field
• 5-7 years of experience in software project management
• Experience in program management and reporting is required
• Experience with project management and tracking tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms
• Strong communication skills with teammates, management, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
• Background in defining, reviewing and testing software, apps for UI/UX is a plus

• Project or program management utilizing a variety of tools
• Extensive experience working with cross-functional teams
• Strong professional integrity and sense of ownership of assignments
• Self-motivation requires minimum supervision and has a proven track record of reliability and work ethic
• Good business acumen; strong sense of technical issues, customer service, and business result relationships
• Flexible, team‑player, attention‑to‑detail, pro‑active, and responsible working attitudes
