HANA Data Conversion Project Manager Job Type: Contract/Onsite Role Summary

An experienced SAP S/4

HANA Data Conversion Project Manager to urgently support a large-scale ECC to S/4

HANA brownfield conversion for a Retail industry client. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing end-to-end SAP data conversion activities for complex, large SAP implementations.

This role requires strong leadership, deep understanding of SAP data objects, and hands‑on experience coordinating cross‑functional teams during S/4 system conversions.

Lead and manage the end‑to‑end data conversion strategy for SAP ECC to SAP S/4

HANA (brownfield approach).

Define and execute data migration/conversion plans, timelines, and governance models.

Coordinate closely with functional leads, technical teams, SAP Basis, ABAP, and business stakeholders.

Oversee data assessment, data cleansing, reconciliation, validation, and sign‑off.

Manage SAP data objects relevant to Retail industry (e.g., customer, vendor, material, pricing, inventory, finance, POS‑related data).

Drive mock conversions, dress rehearsals, cutover planning, and go‑live readiness.

Identify data risks, issues, and dependencies and proactively manage mitigation plans.

Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and data integrity standards.

Manage external system dependencies and integrations impacting data conversion.

• Provide regular status reporting, executive communication, and steering committee updates.

10+ years of SAP experience, with 5+ years as a Data Conversion / Migration Project Manager.

Proven experience managing SAP ECC to SAP S/4

HANA brownfield conversions.

Strong hands‑on experience with SAP data conversion tools and approaches (e.g., Migration Cockpit, LTMC/LTMOM, custom ABAP conversions, SLT where applicable).

Solid understanding of SAP S/4

HANA data model changes.

Experience managing large, complex SAP implementations with high data volumes.

Prior experience in the Retail industry is mandatory.

Strong knowledge of SAP FI, MM, SD, and Retail‑specific master and transactional data.

Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments.
• Experience with multiple S/4
  
  HANA conversions.
• Exposure to SAP Activate methodology.
• Experience handling global or multi‑country SAP rollouts.
• SAP certification(s) in S/4
  
  HANA or Project Management.
