Service CMDB SME​/Integration Specialist

Overview

Akkodis is seeking a Service Now CMDB SME/Integration Specialist for a Contract with a client in San Francisco, CA
. This role focuses on defining and governing the Service Now CMDB, with strong hands-on CMDB and CSDM expertise as a critical qualification.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Define and maintain the CMDB data model while ensuring alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
• Design and govern CI classes, relationships, lifecycle rules, and overall CMDB architecture.
• Architect and oversee Discovery and Service Mapping (both horizontal and top-down) to ensure accurate service visibility.
• Establish CMDB governance processes, data ownership structures, and quality controls to maintain completeness and accuracy.
• Monitor, analyze, and improve CMDB health, including completeness, correctness, and compliance metrics.
• Design and implement integrations between Service Now CMDB and cloud platforms, monitoring tools, and asset management systems.

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 6–8 years of experience working with Service Now CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and enterprise-scale CMDB implementations.
• Strong hands-on expertise in CSDM alignment, CMDB data modeling, CI class design, and CMDB governance for large, complex environments.
• Proven experience designing integrations between Service Now and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), monitoring tools, and asset systems.
