Job Summary
This position requires working onsite on a regular basis. This position is a techno‑functional role for ERP, involving the design, development, and enhancement of application components, integrations, and reports. Additionally, it supports business and functional teams with configuration, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and process optimization across core ERP modules.

As part of this commitment, most IT teams are expected to work in some capacity to support campus‑based work.
This role will be expected to work onsite on a rotational or alternative basis as determined by the hiring manager. You may also be required to attend onsite events as scheduled by your management team.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

It is the only campus in the 10‑campus UC system dedicated exclusively to the health sciences. UCSF is technologically and organizationally complex, with both centralized and departmental IT units providing support for enterprise and specialized services.
UCSF IT provides infrastructure, network, security, analytics, integration, and application support services, and is essential to the organization’s ability to support growth, mitigate security risk, and manage, store and share sensitive information.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related area
- 5-7 years of hands‑on ERP technical experience to develop, support and integrate enterprise‑wide ERP applications.
- 5-7 years of highly advanced skills associated with ERP Technical specification, design, test, modification, implementation, upgrade and deployment of large‑scale scope.
- Expert Knowledge of most of the ERP Cloud reporting tools
- Hands‑on experience in areas of ERP bank integrations, third‑party supply chain interfaces, and Cloud integration patterns adhering to IS3 standards
- Demonstrated expertise with SQL and PL/SQL and developing advanced/complex SQL queries
- Working Knowledge of Oracle Database, AIX/Linux/Windows Operating Systems
- Ability to estimate the level of effort, effective triaging of issues, timely resolutions of all assignments while juggling priorities
- Advanced experience with middleware integrations, and use of code libraries and open‑source forums.
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non‑technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
- Self‑motivated and works independently and as part of a team. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated complex problem‑solving skills and highly honed analytical skills
- Master’s degree in Information Technology or related area
- Functional knowledge of ERP modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Purchasing, Inventory Billing, Receivables, Project Costing, Contract and Grants experience will be highly desired, but not required
- Excellent project leadership and management skills.
