📍 San Francisco – On-site (4 days a week)

We’re working with a high-growth, venture-backed AI healthtech company that is redefining how patients access care.

Their platform uses advanced AI and deep system integrations to remove friction between patients and healthcare providers — already supporting tens of millions of real patient interactions and scaling fast.

They’re now building out their next-generation platform and are looking for an Engineering Manager who can lead from the front — combining technical depth with strong team leadership.

The Role

You’ll split your time between hands-on system development and leading a growing engineering team, playing a key role in scaling a brand-new platform powering AI-driven healthcare workflows.

You will

• Architect and build core platform services powering AI-driven patient engagement
• Stay hands-on with system design, coding, and technical delivery
• Translate real customer and operational needs into scalable engineering solutions
• Own team execution — setting direction, removing blockers, and driving delivery
• Establish engineering best practices across architecture, testing, CI/CD, and observability
• Mentor and grow a high-performing team of engineers
• Partner closely with Product, Ops, and Leadership to deliver meaningful user impact
• Help scale both the platform and team during rapid company growth

What They’re Looking For

• 5+ years software engineering experience
• Experience leading projects, teams, or technical initiatives
• Strong background building scalable, production-grade distributed systems
• Ability to balance speed, scalability, and real customer value
• Comfortable operating as both IC and leader
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Thrives in fast-paced, high-ownership startup environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-driven or automation-heavy platforms
• Exposure to healthcare or regulated industries
• Experience integrating complex third-party or enterprise systems
• Experience helping scale teams or launching new products
