Duration: 8-month contract (with potential extension)
Travel: Periodic onsite visits required for assessment and go‑live support
OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Epic Scheduling Analyst with strong Epic Cadence expertise to assess, optimize, and enhance enterprise scheduling workflows within a healthcare environment.
This role will lead workflow analysis, system configuration, stakeholder collaboration, testing, training, and go‑live support to improve operational efficiency and user adoption.
The ideal candidate brings a mix of Epic configuration experience, workflow redesign, business analysis, and implementation support
.
- Assess current scheduling workflows, system configurations, and operational processes
- Conduct stakeholder interviews across Operations, IT, Compliance, and Training
- Map current‑state workflows, pain points, handoffs, and data flows
- Perform gap analysis and identify improvement opportunities
- Define functional and non‑functional requirements
- Develop solution options with effort, risk, and timeline analysis
- Design future‑state workflows and configuration specifications
- Configure Epic Cadence roles, permissions, and functionality
- Develop and execute test plans and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Support development of role‑based training materials and job aids
- Assist with instructor‑led training and train‑the‑trainer sessions
- Create user documentation, quick reference guides, and knowledge articles
- Support cutover planning and implementation
- Provide go‑live and post‑go‑live support
- Monitor adoption, performance, and issue trends
- Deliver final implementation documentation and recommendations
- Epic Cadence Certification (Required)
- 5+ years of experience in Epic analysis, configuration, or implementation
- Strong experience with workflow analysis, business process redesign, and system optimization
- Experience coordinating UAT and developing test scripts
- Ability to lead stakeholder meetings and manage cross‑functional collaboration
- Strong documentation, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with Epic Referrals (nice to have)
- Experience supporting healthcare operations or clinical scheduling environments
- Experience developing Epic reports or dashboards
- Hybrid work model with periodic onsite visits for system assessment and go‑live support
- Ability to travel between facilities as needed
- Must be able to pass background/security clearance requirements
- Duration: 8 months with possible extension
- Weekly status reporting and participation in project governance activities
