This role is for a Senior Engineering Program Manager who will work on Apple Podcasts, which has a track record of delivering innovative and AI-powered features. The role will be responsible for shipping features that will be used by both Apple Podcasts customers and podcast creators.

This role is for a Senior Engineering Program Manager who can partner with stakeholder and engineering teams to deliver innovative features that shape the future of Apple Podcasts.

We're seeking a hands-on EPM who thrives in ambiguity and drives complex, customer-facing products to launch under tight timelines. You'll be deeply involved in requirements analysis, technical design, testing, and cross-functional collaboration—owning outcomes, not just tasks.

Responsibilities

• Shape the future of podcasting – Drive end-to-end delivery of innovative features, including cutting-edge AI capabilities, that will redefine how millions discover and enjoy podcasts on Apple Podcasts

• Own what matters – Lead strategic planning and execution of multiple concurrent initiatives, from defining scope and requirements to managing timelines and coordinating resources across client, server, ML, analytics, and tooling teams

• Be the connective tissue – Build strong partnerships across Engineering, Product, Design, Data Science, QA, Legal, Privacy, Business, and Operations to shape product roadmaps and drive seamless feature delivery

• Think strategically, execute flawlessly – Lead yearly and quarterly roadmap planning for the Podcasts Tooling team while maintaining laser focus on day-to-day execution, ensuring every feature ships with quality and impact

• Define the product – Craft business, functional, and operational requirements for the features you drive, often writing them yourself to ensure clarity and alignment

• Drive continuous innovation – Champion process improvements and operational excellence within Apple Services Engineering Media Apps, making the team more effective with each release

• Communicate with impact – Keep stakeholders at all levels informed with clear program updates, proactive risk identification, and thoughtful mitigation strategies

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ years of technical program management experience delivering software products from inception to launch

• Proven track record managing complex, cross-functional projects across the full software development lifecycle

• Strong technical acumen with the ability to engage deeply in architectural and design discussions

• Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones

• BA/BS in technical field or equivalent industry experience.

• Experience shipping machine learning or generative AI features to customers at scale

• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous challenges and drive actionable solutions

• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities—written and verbal—that resonate with audiences from engineers to executives
