AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This role invites talent who want to help address challenging supply‑chain variables while collaborating with software, hardware, and network engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital teams.
As an Infrastructure Delivery Installation Technician, you will work with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of next‑generation networks. You will aid the development of automated, scalable network solutions while maintaining the highest safety and security standards to provide limitless capacity at the lowest possible cost.
Key Job Responsibilities- Move and implement large enterprise equipment
- Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cabling between equipment
- Ensure proper safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation
- Follow well‑established hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities
- Safely use material handling tools and equipment
- Travel within and outside of the regional work area; you must have a reliable personal vehicle and a valid driver’s license (company transportation not provided)
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 1+ year of experience in any of the following or similar technical or vocational roles:
Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, Technical Project Management
- Industry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)
- Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment
- Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies
- Experience with medium to large, complex project scopes and ambiguous details within a work environment
- Knowledge of major command‑line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF)
