Job Description

The Customer Journey Business Architect is a business-led solution architect and individual contributor responsible for defining and delivering end-to-end CRM solutions across Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success. Acting as the front door from the business into CRM and customer technology, this role ensures that business strategy, seller experience, and customer outcomes drive platform and application decisions.

In close partnership with Technology, Product Managers, and delivery teams, this role determines application solutions, seller experiences, and platform capabilities across enterprise CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, Eloqua, CPQ tools, etc., while shaping the future-state architecture through Power Platform–based custom solutions and AI-enabled capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business-Focused Solutioning & Experience Design:
    Lead business-first solution design across CLIENT Customer Journey initiatives, with a strong focus on seller and user experience.
  • Partner with Technology to determine application solutions, user journeys, and experience design enabled by the proposed CRM architecture.
  • Ensure solutions are intuitive, efficient, and aligned to how sellers and customer-facing teams actually work.
  • Enterprise Platform & Application Strategy:
    Drive solution architecture across enterprise CRM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics), ensuring solutions maximize existing platform capabilities before introducing customization.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to validate solution approaches, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and business priorities.
  • Balance out-of-the-box functionality with extensibility to deliver differentiated, scalable solutions.
  • Platform Optimization & Future-Proofing:
    Maximize the value of current CRM tools and platform capabilities by identifying opportunities for reuse, simplification, and standardization.
  • Partner with Product and Technology teams to ensure solutions are future-proof, leveraging platform roadmaps and emerging capabilities.
  • Guide the evolution from traditional enterprise software implementations toward AI-enabled, adaptive marketing, sales, and support solutions.
  • Power Platform, Custom Solutions & AI:
    Define and drive custom application solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse to extend CRM capabilities.
  • Identify and champion AI use cases across CRM tools, including automation, decision support, insights, and seller assist.
  • Ensure AI capabilities are embedded thoughtfully to enhance experience, productivity, and scalability.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Act as the primary intake point for CRM-related business needs, opportunities, and innovation ideas.
  • Orchestrate collaboration across Business, Product, Technology Architecture, Data, and Delivery teams to drive cohesive, end-to-end solutions.
  • Support solution delivery from concept through adoption, ensuring outcomes are realized.
Required Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience in CRM, business architecture, product solutioning, or enterprise applications.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics and CRM-enabled seller or service experiences.
  • Proven success partnering with Technology Architects and Product Managers to define application and experience solutions.
  • Experience leveraging Power Platform for custom application development and process automation.
  • Strong ability to influence without authority and communicate effectively across business and technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience embedding AI-driven capabilities into CRM or customer-facing platforms.
  • Background optimizing enterprise CRM investments while driving innovation and modernization.
  • Familiarity with seller enablement, lead-to-cash, or customer lifecycle solutions.
