We’re looking for a Senior Product Experience Engineer who blends technical craft, creativity, and narrative thinking to explore what’s possible and help shape the future direction of Slack.

What You’ll Do

• Build interactive prototypes using Figma, live code (HTML/CSS/JS), or emerging technologies to explore new product concepts.

• Translate early ideas into functional prototypes that help teams evaluate usability, feasibility, and user value.

• Craft product stories through prototypes, combining clear narrative framing with hands‑on design.

• Collaborate across product, design, engineering, marketing, and research to align prototypes with user needs and business context.

• Test and iterate quickly, refining prototypes through rapid cycles and feedback.

• Establish scalable prototyping practices by creating reusable frameworks and documentation.

• Support storytelling for vision work by building prototypes and interaction flows for internal reviews and leadership discussions.

What You Need To Succeed

• Strong ability to drive projects with minimal guidance and an owner‑operator mindset.

• Excellent communication skills, presenting complex concepts clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.

• Proven success influencing peers and leaders in a matrixed, cross‑functional environment.

• Advanced storytelling abilities to frame ideas and communicate value.

• Creative problem‑solver who pushes beyond current patterns.

• Experience prototyping interactive experiences using Figma, code, or emerging tech.

• Strong understanding of UI and interaction principles.

• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast‑paced environments with evolving requirements.

• Self‑motivated, flexible, resilient, and driven by curiosity.
