Paradigm is a San Francisco-based investment firm focused on crypto and frontier technologies across the globe, with over $10 billion in assets under management. We make investments in companies and protocols at all stages, ranging from early-stage venture financing rounds to growth equity to liquid token assets.

Paradigm was co-founded in 2018 by Matt Huang (former Partner at Sequoia Capital) and Fred Ehrsam (co-founder of Coinbase). Since then we’ve been hard at work building a world-class team of brilliant mutants to investigate the world’s most beautiful technical problems. Our research-driven approach helps us build relationships with founders and entrepreneurs, but it also reflects our broader goal of growing the crypto ecosystem globally and accelerating crypto’s ability to advance the world we live in.

We’re looking for a data scientist: someone who will transform raw crypto data into the ideas that give us an investment and building edge.

• Quantitative market analysis: modeling token flows, on-chain behavioral signals, forecasting valuations, and determining risk exposure
• Conducting experiments and communicating your findings to Paradigm’s investors, researchers and engineers
• Building scalable data infrastructure (dashboards, self-service analytics, on-demand insights) to support investment decision-making
• Developing new computational techniques to identify signals that can inform investment decisions

• 5+ years of experience building quantitative and/or financial products with world-class technical teams
• Background in statistics and machine learning
• Experience building end-to-end data science/ML workflows in a production environment
• Experience with modeling time series, forecasting, and anomaly detection
• Deep familiarity with the decentralized finance ecosystem (smart contracts, on-chain data)

Compensation Range: $220K - $330K
