About The Role

This role leads the company’s end-to-end procurement and third-party risk management functions, ensuring the business can scale efficiently while meeting public-company and regulatory expectations. You will lead a high-performing procurement organization and partner closely with business leaders to deliver strong commercial outcomes balanced with effective risk management and governance.

In this role, you can expect to
  • Lead and develop a high-performance, high-integrity procurement organization, including strategic sourcing, procurement operations and third-party risk management.
  • Own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including intake, vendor selection, contracting partnership, onboarding, ongoing vendor management, and renewals, in a public-company environment.
  • Define and execute sourcing strategies across technology, marketing, operations, and corporate spend that balance cost efficiency, risk management, and business agility.
  • Interpret, develop, implement, and monitor procurement policies, standards, and governance frameworks; educate stakeholders and drive consistent adoption across the company.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders on vendor strategy, commercial terms, risk tradeoffs, and long-term supplier relationships.
  • Oversee third-party risk management programs, including due diligence, ongoing monitoring, issue remediation, and alignment with bank partner and regulatory expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external requirements; produce accurate, timely, and actionable reporting on spend, vendor risk, and procurement performance suitable for public-company scrutiny.
  • Establish and maintain strong procurement controls; partner closely with Legal, Finance, Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Internal Audit to ensure vendors and contracts meet control and governance requirements.
  • Lead complex vendor negotiations and structuring decisions (e.g., pricing models, minimum commitments, SLAs, termination rights), providing guidance from strategy through execution.
  • Monitor emerging best practices, regulatory expectations, and industry trends related to procurement and third-party risk; prepare briefings for senior management and educational materials for stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement of procurement operations, systems, and controls to support scale, resilience, and effective public-company operations.
To thrive in this role, you have
  • 15+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or third-party risk management, including senior leadership experience; public-company and regulated industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience leading and scaling a procurement organization, including buyers and third-party risk programs, in a complex, fast-growing environment.
  • Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, procurement operations, and third-party risk management frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of governance, internal controls, and compliance expectations applicable to public companies, including audit and regulatory scrutiny.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance business agility with risk management and to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous or high-pressure situations.
  • Experience designing and operationalizing procurement policies, controls, and systems that support public-company requirements.
  • Skilled at partnering with Legal, Finance, Engineering, Security, Privacy, Compliance, and Internal Audit to deliver outcomes efficiently without becoming a bottleneck.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex commercial, risk, or policy issues to non-procurement audiences.
  • Data-driven and detail-oriented, with a track record of using metrics and insights to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • High personal integrity, strong ownership mindset, and a collaborative leadership style.
