Technical Product Manager

Hivemapper is a decentralized map built by people using their smartphone, dashcam, or drone. It represents a fundamental shift in how maps are built. Forward looking businesses use our Map API. Our broad customer base spans enterprise tech, mapping and navigation, transportation and logistics, insurance and real estate, etc.

Our work is fast-paced, collaborative, and cross-disciplinary. We focus on solving hard problems, and we invest in our rapidly growing team and tech to do so.

There are active contributors around the world. This includes currently active dashcam contributors across North America, South East Asia, and Europe. As we enter a huge new growth phase, our contributor-facing products need to level up in order to scale both vertically and horizontally.

In particular, this role will manage hardware and software products across sensors (including imagers and radios), mobile applications (sensor integration, contributor experience, edge compute), and web applications for customers and contributors alike (ML, CV, Sensor Fusion, 3D reconstruction, high performance graphics, etc.).

The Street-Level Imagery PM will work directly with our hardware partners on the R&D, manufacturing & supply chain, and global distribution of many thousands of sensor units in 2022. These sensors, and other commercially available sensors, integrate directly with our mobile applications, allowing us to streamline data transfer and unlock powerful edge compute solutions across sensor fusion, machine learning, and computer vision.

• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive results and ensure high product quality

Develop new features and become an expert across street-level imagery, mapping, and blockchain.

Define and execute product roadmap and strategy, drive new business development, monitor and forecast product success.

Empathize with our contributors and customers alike.

Foster collaborative relationships with both internal and external parties.

Ability to communicate effectively to all levels inside and outside the organization.

Product management or technical experience in mapping, IoT, or autonomy/robotics.

Ability to thrive working in a fast paced agile environment.

Strong math and analytical skills.

At least basic SQL chops and experience working with data reporting and dashboarding tools (e.g., Mode, Tableau, Looker, Kibana, etc.).

Experience with mass producing consumer sensors.

Experience working at a startup.

Experience with blockchain.

Experience with mapping/GIS.

Experience with ML and CV.
