The Presidio Trust is seeking a Principal Oracle Solutions Architect to join the IT Department. The Presidio Trust is an innovative federal agency that stewards and shares the history, beauty, and wonder of the Presidio for everyone to enjoy forever. The ancestral homeland of the Ramaytush Ohlone, the Presidio was once a military post under three flags. Today, it is a surprising national park site spanning 1,500 acres at the Golden Gate.

Its rare natural habitats, inspiring views, and world-class trails are a local and global attraction. It is among the most biologically diverse parks in America and a popular destination with beaches, museums, restaurants, hotels, homes, and offices.

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the Principal Oracle Solutions Architect is responsible for the strategic design, planning, and oversight of the organization’s Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 platform—currently on premises, with a planned migration to a cloud-hosted environment (e.g., EBS on OCI). This role leads enterprise architecture and solution delivery across core ERP Financial modules (GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Taxes), ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing systems aligned with business goals, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include leading Oracle technical enhancements, integrations, performance tuning, and infrastructure planning, as well as driving governance, documentation, and compliance practices. The position also provides day-to-day leadership for a small Oracle development team, setting standards, managing delivery, and fostering continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

The ideal candidate brings substantial financial systems experience, deep understanding of accounting processes and controls, strong team leadership skills (including day-to-day leadership of a small team of Oracle developers), and expertise in Oracle ERP development and roadmap strategy.

This is a full-time position with benefits. The starting pay range is $178,704 to $196,206 for candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area, depending on experience and qualifications. Salary may vary for candidates working from other locations. Applications received by October 24, 2025 will receive first consideration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic design, planning and oversight for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12 platform, including the development of architectural frameworks, implementation plans, and a transition roadmap from on-premise to a cloud-hosted environment, ensuring alignment with financial systems requirements and overall business objectives.

• Document and translate business requirements from Finance and other departments into secure, scalable Oracle solutions and roadmaps deliverables, ensuring traceability from business needs to technical implementation.

• Provide technical oversight and guidance for Oracle EBS enhancements, customizations, integrations, data conversions, and ongoing support, ensuring delivery of high-performance, resilience, and quality.

• Implement and enforce security and compliance standards within Oracle Financials, delivering controls documentation that supports segregation of duties (SoD), audit readiness, and ongoing regulatory compliance.

• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, to communicate strategies, project plans, status reports, risk logs, and performance metrics.

• Lead and document the evaluation, testing, and deployment of Oracle-related updates and features (R12 patching, DB lifecycle, HA/DR), ensuring each initiative demonstrates measurable business value.

• Continuously monitor Oracle system performance, delivering recommendations and executing improvements focused on scalability, reliability, and efficiency, including implemented HA/DR and backup/recovery patterns.

• Manage and document change management processes related to R12 deployments and upgrades, maintaining detailed artifacts such as architecture diagrams, runbooks,…
