About the Team:

The Market Operations team is responsible for driving the successful launch, growth, and ongoing performance of World’s operations in markets around the world. Our work sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, ensuring that World’s unique model of verifying humanness through a global network of Orb Operators is implemented effectively, sustainably, and  collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams to design and optimize operational processes, manage local partnerships, and deliver exceptional user and Operator experiences.

Because every market has its own cultural, regulatory, and logistical nuances, the Market Operations team must combine analytical rigor with adaptability and deep local insight. We are known for our operational excellence, on‑the‑ground problem solving, and relentless focus on execution and impact.

About the Opportunity:

As the General Manager for the US, you will lead and scale World’s operations across the United States, one of our most strategically important and complex markets. You will be responsible for developing and executing the go‑to‑market strategy, ensuring operational excellence, and driving sustainable user growth. You will build and manage key relationships with operational partners, World , and other stakeholders.

This is both a strategic and hands‑on leadership role: you will set the long‑term vision for the US market while ensuring flawless execution on the ground. You will represent World publicly with the media and other relevant stakeholders. You will report to the VP of Market Operations and collaborate closely with other cross‑functional teams. Your leadership will be instrumental in establishing World’s presence and reputation in the US and in shaping how the project scales globally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership

    • Onboard and manage Operators and retail locations to rapidly scale our network of Orb operations to 1000s of locations across the US

    • Ensure high‑quality operations and an excellent user experience

    • Manage and continuously improve flagship locations as examples of operational excellence

    • Experiment with new operating models and optimize for efficiency, scalability, and sustainability

    • Own the P&L.

    • Monitor and analyze KPIs (on growth, costs, quality, and utility) to inform strategic decisions and resource allocation
