• 15 years of experience in product design or UX.
• 6 years of experience leading design projects.
• Expertise in designing for native iOS app experiences in Android.
• Proficiency in visual design and high‑fidelity prototyping, using industry tools (e.g., Figma, Proto Pie, Rive) and novel methods, including leveraging LLMs and APIs to create dynamic, data‑driven, and intelligent prototypes.
• Ability to create visionary north‑star product experiences, focused on leveraging modern UX principles along with generative AI to unlock novel interaction paradigms and define strategic direction.

Google User Experience (UX) is made up of multi‑disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, Program Managers, and Engineers. The UX team plays an integral part in gathering insights about the attitudes, emotions, and behaviors of people who use our products to inspire and inform design. We collaborate closely with each other and with engineering and product management to create industry‑leading products that deliver value for folk who use them, and for Google’s businesses.

As an Interaction Designer, you’ll rely on user‑centered design methods to craft industry‑leading user experiences—from concept to execution. Like all of our UX jobs, you’ll collaborate with your design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative, and inspired products that people love to use. In this role, you will help shape the future of the search app, materializing a native‑firstowią app experience.

You will be incorporating systems technology, interaction, motion, and design to have an impact on how billions of users find answers and explore their curiosity. In Google Search, we’re reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. To do that, we need to solve complex engineering challenges and expand our infrastructure, while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience that people around the world rely on.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $224,000–$315,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
