About this Role

The Senior Project Manager, Information Systems will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of technical systems projects from their inception to delivery and support stages. This position requires overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while mitigating risks. As part of the Information Systems & Technology Department, the manager will lead cross-functional teams, establish transparent communication channels with stakeholders, and drive improvements in processes and user experiences.

Active involvement in developing Climate Works’ systems architecture and enhancing technical project life cycles are key responsibilities, ensuring a seamless integration of technical solutions within the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Directly manage a portfolio of technical systems projects through the full project lifecycle including: project intake, goal setting, scope articulation, prioritization, business and technical requirement development, implementation, delivery, and post-launch support.
  • Oversee multiple projects concurrently, ranging from small to large and complex implementations.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans for large, cross-functional and multi-system technical projects with high complexity.
  • Manage project scope, anticipate risks, identify opportunities, and lead proactive solutions.
  • Identify commonalities, dependencies, and operational impacts across projects and ensure efficient sequencing of work.
  • Facilitate ongoing collaboration to conduct needs assessments for current and forecasted projects.
  • Manage documentation, communications, deliverables, and project partner engagement.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, better user experience, and automation.
  • Document workflows and research solutions for system enhancements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through challenges, mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment.
  • Create reporting and communication frameworks to keep team members and leaders informed.
Requirements
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in technical or system project management roles.
  • Four or more years of experience with Salesforce in a relevant role.
  • Experience managing projects requiring system integrations.
  • Successful management of technology implementation projects impacting several departments.
  • Proven ability to deliver multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to establish relationships and navigate organizational priorities.
  • Outstanding communication, organization, risk mitigation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with facilitating meetings and documenting decisions and actions.
  • Highly proficient in project management tools and frameworks.
