Senior Cloud Engineer San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)

We are looking to hire a candidate with the skills sets mentioned and experience for one of our clients within the multinational technology services Industry. This is a contracting role in San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 3 days a week)

We are seeking a Core AWS Cloud Engineer with strong Dev Ops expertise to help operate, scale, and mature our cloud platform. This role focuses on building and managing AWS infrastructure at scale, driving automation, and supporting secure, reliable cloud operations. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with AWS services, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, and Agile delivery practices.

• Design, deploy, and operate AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security
• Strong expertise in AWS IAM (identity‑based and resource‑based policies)
• Deep knowledge of AWS Networking (VPCs, subnets, route tables, transit gateways, security groups, Route 53)
• Monitoring and troubleshooting using AWS Cloud Watch and Cloud Trail
• Experience with AWS Glue, Redshift, and RDS (MS SQL)
• Log management and observability using Splunk
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform deployments (Harness preferred; ArgoCD, Circle
  
  CI, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins acceptable)
• Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
• Manage secrets using AWS Secrets Manager or centralized secrets stores
• Strong Git management and version control best practices
• Hands‑on experience with EKS and Kubernetes (k8s) cluster management
• Implement SSO via Okta and role‑based access control (RBAC)
• Work within Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban), including sprint planning, backlog grooming, story points, and ticket lifecycle management
