Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Cloud/Dev Ops Engineer III for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities- Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline
- Work with National IT to create and implement the tooling required for Continuous Delivery
- Ensure our systems and tooling are future proof and can accommodate growth and continually changing requirements
- Participate in design and planning sessions to ensure changes to tooling or services are accounted for
- Design and implement process improvements
- Coach and mentor others on Platform Engineering and Dev Ops best practices
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering,
- + years hands-on experience with AWS services - building, deploying, and monitoring
- + years of industry experience in building and supporting enterprise level systems as a platform engineer or equivalent in a production environment
- + years of hands-on experience implementing, supporting, and using the tools and services required for Dev Ops best practices.
- Systems Analysis or a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Linux (RHEL)
- Application services (Web Sphere, Tomcat, Spring Boot)
- Source code control systems (Subversion, Git variants)
- Build systems (Jenkins, Git Lab, Circle
CI) - Static analysis tools (Sonar Qube, Fortify)
- Containerization tools (Docker, Podman)
- Orchestration and environment management tools (Puppet, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform)
- Monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog)
- Programming or scripting languages (Java, C++, C, Python, Bash)
- Automated testing tools (Selenium, Test Complete)
- using AWS tools and services such as AWS Code Pipeline, AWS Cloud Watch, AWS
- Cloud Formation, and AWS X-Ray
- Thorough understanding of APIs, gateways, orchestrators, databases, networking, monitoring, configuration management, and security best practices for a production environment
