Transportation Analyst

The Fountain Group, a national staffing firm, are currently seeking a Transportation Analyst for a prominent client of ours. This position is 100% remote. Details for the position are as follows:

• Pay: $48.97/hr
• 3‑month assignment with potential for extension based on performance and budget.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 6:00pm EST, fully remote
• This position will be responsible for owning day‑to‑day parcel transportation execution and performance analytics across regional carrier networks, ensuring visibility, exception management, and on‑time delivery performance.
• This position will be responsible for analyzing lane, carrier, and node‑level transportation metrics (OTD, delays, exceptions, rollovers) using advanced Excel/Google Sheets, SQL queries, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) to drive data‑backed corrective actions.
• This position will also be responsible for building and maintaining dashboards, trackers, SOPs, and recurring performance reports while leading Track & Trace execution and partnering cross‑functionally to improve operational efficiency and service quality.

• 3–5+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
• Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, formulas, lookups, performance tracking)
• Experience using SQL and BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
• Experience with TMS platforms such as Turvo, Mercury Gate, or similar preferred!!
• Hands‑on experience building BI dashboards and data visualizations preferred!!
