Position Overview
You will process payroll for our employees and ensure compliance with the tax regulations of the relevant countries. You will have significant interaction with other departments, both locally and internationally. You will report to the Payroll Manager.
Role & Responsibilities
- Involved in the full cycle of payroll processing, including undertaking payroll calculation, performing payroll reconciliation, preparing payroll accounting, general ledger, and reports.
- Monitor processing checklists and calendars, maintain precise documentation, and provide data/reports for statutory filings within deadlines.
- Examine payroll advice for completeness and clarity with vendors and upload data into the system for processing.
- Check payroll reports against payroll advice and checklists before finalization and approval by the manager.
- Respond to employee queries within the stipulated timeframe as per the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Participate in annual year-end tax reporting and resolve related queries.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of all payroll-related documents.
- Maintain and update Standard Operating Procedure documentation under the care of the Specialist.
- Must be bilingual in Spanish.
- Experience with payroll systems such as People Soft, Ultipro, Kronos, or Pro Business is highly desirable.
- Diploma in accounting or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in managing full payroll cycles.
- Proficiency in Excel, strong administrative skills, and excellent numerical reasoning skills.
- Enjoyment of payroll tasks, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and adapt positively to change.
