.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Manager (QA) to lead our QA function within Growth Marketing Operations (GROMO) — a team dedicated to ensuring flawless execution across Hinge Health’s marketing lifecycle. This leader will oversee a team of QA professionals responsible for validating complex, multi‑channel campaigns (email, SMS, direct mail, etc.) to ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency in every member communication.

As the QA Manager, you’ll establish scalable systems, automation frameworks, and reporting structures that elevate our quality standards and enable faster, error‑free marketing. You’ll partner with Growth, Engineering, Product and Client Success to build processes that drive operational excellence and member trust. The role reports to the Director of Growth Marketing Operations and plays a critical part in ensuring our member communications are precise, compliant, and impactful.

What

You’ll Accomplish
  • Lead a high‑performing QA team: manage and mentor QA professionals, setting expectations and ensuring accountability.
  • Build and maintain a QA roadmap: define priorities, milestones, and metrics for automation coverage, process improvements, and error rate reduction.
  • Implement QA automation: partner with Technical Operations to develop automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Postman).
  • Drive quality standards: establish standardized QA processes and documentation across all marketing workflows.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally: work with Project Management and Technical Operations to align QA testing with deployment schedules.
  • Root‑cause analysis: lead structured RCA following QA misses and embed corrective guardrails.
  • Ensure data accuracy & compliance: oversee validation for data mapping, segmentation logic, and personalization variables.
  • Measure & report impact: develop dashboards and reports tracking QA performance metrics.
  • Connect quality to business outcomes: translate QA metrics into tangible results—improved campaign accuracy, reduced remediation time, increased stakeholder satisfaction, and cost savings.
  • Design closed‑loop quality systems: create feedback loops that surface recurring issues and drive upstream process improvements.
Hybrid Work Model

Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days per week for 8 hours each day. The San Francisco office is dog‑friendly.

Basic Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Marketing Operations, with 3+ years in a people‑management role.
  • 6+ years experience with QA tools and testing methodologies (Selenium, Cypress, Postman, Iterable, data validation audits).
  • 3+ years experience building and scaling QA frameworks for marketing automation.
  • 3+ years mentoring junior team members and collaborating cross‑functionally.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Operations, Computer Science, Business, Operations or related technical field.
  • 3+ years managing QA for high‑volume marketing programs (email, SMS, direct mail) in regulated or HIPAA‑compliant environments.
  • Experience developing and maintaining automated QA scripts with engineers.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data validation queries, and campaign data audits.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Iterable, Salesforce, Segment.
  • Experience with workflow tools (Asana, Jira).
  • Certified in Six Sigma, CMQ/OE, ISTQB or similar.
Compensation

This position has an annual salary range of $146,400–$219,600 plus equity and benefits.
