About the roleAs a Design Engineer, you'll own user experiences end-to-end, from product decisions to front-end engineering. You'll work directly with customers, influence product direction, and build the interfaces that define how millions of users interact with AI. This isn't a typical design or engineering role. You'll:
Ship full features independently: engineer, build, and iterate based on real user feedback
Work directly with customers: understand their needs deeply and validate solutions with them
Shape product direction: your design and technical insights will directly influence how the product is built and what we roadmap items we prioritize
Build in public: see your work used by users at some of the world's leading AI companies within days
Strong design sensibility: you have excellent product intuition and can use tools like Figma or vibe-coding platforms to communicate and validate ideas
Solid engineering chops: 3+ years building user-facing products with Type Script (React/Next.js or similar frameworks)
Customer empathy: you care deeply about understanding user needs and building delightful experiences
High ownership: you want to own problems end-to-end, not just work on tickets
Open source contributions or public projects that show your craft
Experience building AI products or developer tools
Strong opinions on what makes great product
