About the Role & TeamAmplitude’s marketing site, , is a core part of how we go to market. It’s where prospects explore the product, where launches and campaigns go live, and where we convert traffic into trials and customers. It’s also a production system—with performance, SEO, security, and reliability requirements that match our product.
This role sits within the PLG + Growth Platform team, a cross‑functional group focused on building the infrastructure that powers how Amplitude grows. As a web engineer on this team, you’ll be responsible for the platform behind —a Next.js application powered by Sanity CMS and deployed via Vercel. The system supports self‑serve publishing for non‑technical users, but the engineering surface remains large: reusable component libraries, CMS schema evolution, structured data, rendering strategies, analytics instrumentation, and experimentation support.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain using Next.js, Type Script, and Sanity CMS
- Design reusable page sections and evolve schema structures to support self‑serve content creation
- Optimize the site for performance, Core Web Vitals, SEO, and accessibility
- Maintain and extend platform capabilities: CMS integrations, analytics instrumentation, Algolia indexing, and forms
- Operate the site in production: triage issues, own deployments, monitor uptime, and support on‑call responsibilities with clear runbooks
- Ship pages and platform changes in close partnership with Marketing and Brand Design
- Support feature launches, benchmarks, product release pages, and global marketing initiatives
- Use AI tools like Copilot, Cursor, or ChatGPT to accelerate iteration while maintaining quality and correctness in your work
- Contribute to a high‑quality, fast‑moving engineering culture with code reviews, documentation, and thoughtful architectural decisions
- Have 2+ years of experience as a web or fullstack engineer, ideally on a company website or similar marketing‑driven surface
- Are comfortable working in a modern web stack (Next.js, Type Script, Git, Vercel or similar)
- Understand how to build reliable, maintainable systems that support rapid iteration
- Have worked with headless CMS platforms (Sanity preferred) and understand schema‑driven site architecture
- Care about shipping things that are correct, fast, and user‑friendly—even when timelines are tight
- Have experience instrumenting sites for analytics and experiments
- Communicate clearly with cross‑functional teams and can lead scoped projects independently
- Take feedback seriously, improve through iteration, and hold a high bar for your own code
- Use AI tools as a force multiplier, not a crutch, and are comfortable debugging or rewriting what they produce
- Show strong critical thinking and a desire to keep growing, learning, and raising the bar
- Have led the technical side of a rebrand, global site rollout, or localization effort
- Are comfortable navigating both the feature and platform layers of a site stack
- Have worked on growth‑focused systems—pricing pages, signup flows, launch surfaces
- Understand how marketing sites and product surfaces work together to drive activation and conversion
