What You’ll DoTalent Sourcing & Relationship Building
  • Actively source and attract candidates through referrals, networking, social media, advertising, events, and community partnerships
  • Build strong referral pipelines with internal team members, Centers of Influence (COIs), and professional organizations
  • Represent the Northwestern Mutual brand at community events, career fairs, and networking opportunities
  • Collaborate with other recruiters across the firm to share best practices and candidate leads
Candidate Experience & Selection
  • Lead candidates through the full recruiting process — from initial outreach to selection
  • Conduct initial interviews and assess candidates for culture fit, drive, and long-term potential
  • Clearly communicate expectations, next steps, and timelines to candidates
  • Create a professional, engaging, and high-touch candidate experience
Accountability, Metrics & Growth
  • Track recruiting activity, progress, and outcomes using Northwestern Mutual systems
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and pipelines
  • Prepare and share weekly recruiting results with leadership
  • Continuously refine sourcing and outreach strategies to improve results
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Comfortable working toward goals and performance metrics
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Backgrounds that do well in this role include sales, customer-facing roles, hospitality, coaching, or relationship-driven environments
