Jump is a 30-person strategy firm advising organizations like Amazon, United Airlines, Purina, and Universal Music Group. We’re looking for a thinker/doer to join our Leadership Team and take responsibility for how people are hired, developed, and grow at Jump.
You’ll personally run recruiting and onboarding, own how learning and growth are supported, steward performance and promotion cycles, and help sustain the cultural rhythms that hold the firm together.
ResponsibilitiesThis person will need to understand Jump’s overall vision and translate that into important decisions and systems across five areas
.
- Ensure Jump has clear, practical ways for teammates to develop over time. This includes shaping growth paths, supporting learning experiences, and ensuring development connects to feedback and expectations in the work.
- Personally run searches end-to-end, create a great experience for applicants, identify great talent, and help new Jumpsters hit the ground running. This includes hands‑on sourcing, interviewing, and closing, not just oversight.
- (3) Reviews & Promotions Own performance review and promotion processes so people receive clear feedback and understand how they grow and advance ure Jumpsters are advancing and that the ways for promotion are clear.
- (4) Culture & Team Bring to life the habits and practices that hold us together—from daily stand‑ups to retreats—and make sure they lift the work, not just fill the calendar.
- (5) Benefits & Compliance Oversee the fundamentals of benefits administration and regulatory compliance, with support from external partners, finance, and other teammates, so the firm runs smoothly and reliably.
- Have owned or stewarded people systems (e.g., learning, performance, recruiting, culture) in a high‑expectations environment
- Are comfortable operating hands‑on in a small firm, without large teams or layers of support
- Bring sound judgment to people‑centered decisions, especially where tradeoffs are involved
- Pay attention to how systems work in practice and are willing to adjust them over time
- Have the permanent right to work in the United States
