Front of House Team Member

The Role:

You’re the first and lasting impression. You set the tone, read the room, and bring warmth and energy without ever being performative. This is a people‑first role for someone who moves with intention, leads with empathy, and knows that great service isn’t about perfection—it’s about care.

This is more than taking orders or dropping checks. You’ll be an active steward of the Block Party experience—welcoming guests into a space that feels thoughtful, inspired, and human.

• Greet guests with presence, warmth, and awareness

• Guide the guest experience from entry to departure

• Maintain flow and vibe during service; anticipate guest needs

• Collaborate with hosts, servers, kitchen, and bar to ensure seamless service

• Support private events, pop-ups, and offsite activations as needed

• Keep the space tidy, intentional, and guest‑ready at all times

• Share knowledge of menu items, specials, and culinary storytelling

• Represent Block Party’s values and voice—on and off the floor

• Are people‑savvy, grounded, and emotionally intelligent

• Know how to hold space— for guests and for your teammates

• Take pride in your attention to detail and ability to read the energy of a room

• Thrive in dynamic environments with shifting needs

• Are deeply curious and want to grow in hospitality, events, or brand experience

• Move through service with grace and a sense of rhythm

• Prior experience in restaurants, events, or guest‑facing roles (preferred)

• Passion for food, culture, and community

• Reliable, communicative, and team‑oriented
