OpportunityAs a Lab Services Specialist/Member Support Specialist (Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant) you will provide an exceptional patient experience, perform venipuncture and other clinical support services, and be the first point of contact. You will also help maintain the look and feel of the office lobby, support the Practice Coordinator, Operations Manager and providers, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
What You’ll Likely Work On- Use impeccable C‑I‑CARE framework in all patient interactions and ensure a fluid in‑office experience through intake, same‑day scheduling, follow‑ups, billing knowledge, insurance verification and patient outreach.
- Provide best‑in‑class venipuncture services to a population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
- Perform and assist with extended scope duties such as non‑blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests and swabs.
- Maintain high standards of in‑office care through proper specimen labeling, handling and processing, inventory upkeep and tool sterilization.
- Answer patient messages, follow up on lab cases and assist providers with clerical duties such as biometric screening forms, medical record/review, billing inquiries and DOH reporting.
- Perform front‑of‑house duties including check‑in/check‑out, insurance verification, printing/paperwork tasks, test prep and service level expectations.
- Contribute to team development through rounding, team huddles, problemsolving and ad‑hoc asks.
- Perform opening and closing duties/daily office upkeep; maintain the look and feel of patient and employee facing spaces.
- Master our technology suite including Slack, G‑suite, Zoom, Circulation, Ring Central and the Electronic Medical Record System.
- At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training
