Environmental Service Aide, Per Diem Job Summary
Under the immediate supervision of the Sr. Custodian Supervisor, the incumbent performs the following duties (90%: General Cleaning Tasks):
- Following Infection Control Policies, the employee maintains a clean, sanitary, safe, and esthetically pleasing environment for patients, staff, and visitors
- Cleans occupied patient rooms, and rooms between patients (discharges) following department procedures
- Cleans other assigned areas within the Patient Care Units
- Disposes of waste (trash, bio hazardous waste, recycling) and soiled linen following departmental procedures
- Uses approved cleaning chemicals to maintain the cleanliness of assigned
- Uses proper body mechanics and body alignment when moving furniture and equipment when performing your duties
- Complete the training for Medications and Auxiliary Staff Competency
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UCS policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $33.08 - $33.08 (Hourly Rate).

Benefits
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Previous hospital, skilled nursing facility, or hotel cleaning experience is required.
- Is able to organize and prioritize work.
- Must possess good verbal and written communications skills.
- Must read, speak, and understand English.
- Basic arithmetic skills are required.
Computer (PC) experience is preferred.
