Supervising Social Worker - San Francisco
Starting Salary Range: $75,518 To $90,621 Annually

GGRC is looking for a Supervising Social Worker in our San Francisco office to provide supervision of assigned Social Workers and carry out administrative functions in relation to that supervisor and provide services to clients as assigned to Social Workers.

Where will I work?
This role offers a hybrid schedule giving you the opportunity to work in with clients in their homes in San Francisco County, from our San Francisco office and from the comfort of your own home.
What you’ll Do:
- Supervise assigned staff by providing leadership and enabling staff to efficiently utilize time and resources
- Participate in the hiring of staff and subsequent training and evaluation of assigned staff
- Represent administration on internal and community committees and task forces as assigned
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Provides coaching and monitoring of employee’s performance and conducts an annual performance evaluation for employees
- Review and approve required and/or appropriate documentation to ensure compliance with established standards
- Serve as a administrative and supervisory back up to the Manager Regional Center Services
- Supervise/manage social workers involved with the initial and/or continuing social assessments of clients and in overall case planning
- Prepare monthly statistics of intake and referrals
- Review and process all documentation created by each staff member
- Perform Supervisor of Day functions as required by Office
- Serve as back up to Social Workers as needed
- Participate in the Supervisory On-Call rotation on a voluntary basis
- Participate in special projects, and assist with additional duties or tasks, as assigned
- Maintain all client information as confidential in compliance with the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the California Lanterman Act
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related human services field required. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Valid Clinical License at time of hire and ability to maintain license in good standing preferred
Who you are:
- Experience in multi-cultural settings and/or multi-lingual capacity
- Demonstrated knowledge of agency policy and procedures
- Training and facilitation
- Interview techniques to ensure person centered planning
- Strong managerial skills
- Knowledge of principles, objectives and techniques of counseling individuals
- Knowledge of normal and abnormal individual and group behavior, human growth and development of family relationships
- Knowledge of community structure and organization and how to intervene constructively on client’s behalf
- Ability to maintain case records in a clear and concise manner
- Written communication: ability to develop standard business communications, using proper grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Oral communication: ability to convey complex information and ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner
- Ability to operate basic office equipment
- Basic familiarity with MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS PowerPoint®, MS Outlook® or similar software applications
- Local travel within the Counties of San Francisco
- Occasional statewide travel to sites throughout California
- Access to reliable transportation permitting travel to and between many different locations throughout the day in order to perform the outlined responsibilities of the position
