Embryology Lab Assistant

IVIRMA North America network of state‑of‑the‑art fertility practices in the United States is currently seeking an Embryology Lab Assistant to join our growing San Francisco practice! This is a full‑time position Sunday – Thursday 5:45am – 3:30pm.

This position aids the entire embryology laboratory department in administrative areas by performing laboratory paperwork functions. Minor technical work includes dish preparations, QC, and inventory duties. This is a responsible position that requires supervision and works with instruction or direction from the laboratory director or designate.

• Follows procedures for reporting and maintaining patient records.
• Assists with quality control procedures and instrument calibrations and maintenance.
• Participates in laboratory operations and meetings as needed.
• Confirms accuracy of clinical charts prior to release for insurance and physician reviews.
• Responsible for ordering/receiving lab supplies and maintaining inventories.
• Verifies specimen chain of custody during lab procedures.
• Assists embryologists with general lab duties.
• Maintains inventories and lab supplies.

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the sciences – required.

• Previous lab admin experience – preferred.

• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience.
• Microsoft Office:
  Word, Excel and Outlook.
