Job SummaryAssists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the Physician and/or Designee.
Responsibilities- Interview patients and measure vital signs and other pertinent information as required by department. Record information in patients' medical record. Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examination. Assist clinician with care of the patient. Inventories, orders and replenish medical supplies and materials. Give treatments and perform routine laboratory tests as required by department.
- Schedule appointments, perform clinical tasks and complete appropriate forms as required by department. May be responsible for administering medications, including injections. May be responsible for cleaning, processing, sterilizing and checking instruments. Perform computer data entry functions. Perform clinical/technical skills specific to the department. Perform other related duties as necessary. Customer Service:
Practice customer service standards as defined by the Medical Center and specified department. - Anticipate customer needs, take proactive steps to meet those needs, by listening and taking responsibility within scope to ensure issues are resolved. Promptly respond to alarms and patient requests. Facilitate customers' ability to utilize resources. Ensure a clean, orderly, and functional work environment. Team Commitment:
Be an effective team member who is flexible, cooperative, and willing to assist others. - Manage difficult or conflict situations constructively and seek appropriate assistance. Take accountability for own actions. Act as a resource and mentor to new employees, students, and other team members. Actively participate in departmental professional development activities.
