Job Summary
The shift for this position is 7am-7:30pm, 12hr days, weekends, rotating, variable. The incumbent is responsible for assessing 24-hour nursing staff based upon information gathered from a variety of sources. The role assures staffing resources and nursing unit needs are appropriately matched on a weekly, daily and shift-by-shift basis. The incumbent records, processes and maintains scheduling and staffing information for the Department of Nursing in the Medical Center.
Responsibilities- Two years of hospital experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology.
- Knowledge and understanding of medical specialties.
- Good communication skills, written and oral.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work and orient at all UCSF locations.
- College graduate.
