Job Summary
This position requires flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts, and coverage for weekends and holidays. The MR Senior Radiologic Technologist operates a variety of high field strength magnets and supports systems with MRI safety as a priority. Responsibilities include patient coordination, acquisition, processing, and archiving of all patient data; training new and existing staff on new technologies; maintaining and operating equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications;
and overseeing provision of MRI services and staffing coverage in absence of the MR Supervisor.
- Graduate of a formal radiology technology training program from an AMA approved school.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with high field magnetic resonance system.
- Demonstrated and maintained competency in 3 of the 6 specialty scans within six months of hire:
- Cardiac Imaging
- Fetal Imaging
- Whole body Pediatric scans
- Special procedures (neuro intraop [HIFU/DBS], etc.)
- Pediatric/Adult Anesthesia
- Breast Imaging
- Device vetting (pacemaker, etc.)
- Flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts as as coverage for weekends and holidays.
- Flexibility to rotate to other sites when necessary. >
- CRT Licensure
- MRSO
- ARRT approved MRI Certification
- BLS Certification
- Venipuncture Certification
