(Hiring) Sr. Ultrasound Sonographer

We are seeking a Sr. Ultrasound Sonographer to become a part of our team! You will coordinate medical and health services in hospitals, clinics or similar organizations.

Perform diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation :

• Obtain appropriate patient clinical information from requesting physician and / or service prior to performing exam.
• Prepare patient for imaging.
• Prepare room and equipment prior to imaging and after completion of exam.
• Demonstrate appropriate self-critique of exams to include ability to recognize sub-optimal techniques and equipment malfunctions.
• Meet physical requirements to perform all aspects of diagnostic sonography studies in the inpatient as well as outpatient settings, including but not limited to: performing portable exams, transferring and transporting gurney and wheelchair.
• Maintain RDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria.

Required skills :

• Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school
• Must have flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays and on-call shifts. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.
• Requires ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB / Gyn specialties at minimum.
• BLS - Basic Life Support.
• Requires (2-5) years experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and or equivalent experience in a similar Ultrasound department OR New hires who meet criteria of equivalent experience and credentials held must also have equivalent Senior Sonographer skills; the Senior Diagnostic Medical Sonographer title may be granted at the discretion of the Section Chief and Section Supervisor.
• Maintain ARDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria
