Job SummaryUnder the supervision of the Registered Nurse, the Sr. Surgical Technologist assists in the preparation, processing, care and maintenance of instruments, supplies and equipment, and functions as a member of the surgical team during operative procedures. The individual must know aseptic technique and be able to scrub independently in orthopaedic procedures anticipating the needs of the surgeon and have knowledge in the sequencing of the surgical procedures.
CompensationThe salary range for this position is $65.86 (Hourly Rate). The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF.
Required Qualifications- One year orthopedic experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Graduate of surgical technologist training program; or equivalent experience
- Current CPR Certification
- High School diploma; or equivalent experience
- This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations
- Certified as a Surgical Technologist
- Current CPR Certification
