Sr Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Summary

This position is for a Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist in San Francisco, CA. The technician will perform routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures in both inpatient and outpatient settings, collaborate with anesthesia and other departments, conduct radiation safety and quality control, and train staff.

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals.
• Work safely in an acute care setting and coordinate with anesthesia and patient care departments.
• Collect, prepare, and analyze biologic specimens for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes.
• Perform radiation safety and quality control procedures on all equipment.
• Participate in orientation and training of staff, students, residents, and faculty.
• Engage in performance improvement and quality assurance activities.
• Lead or coordinate clinical protocol development, maintenance, improvement, and implementation.
• Instruct specialty procedures (two or more as Senior; three or more as Principal). Conduct procedures independently.
• Contribute to research protocol development and implementation.

• CTNM certification: NMTCB or ARRT (National).
• California state license – Certified Technologist, Nuclear Medicine.
• Current BLS (CPR) certification.
• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine training program.
• Ability to schedule flexibly, rotate locations and shifts, and cover weekend shifts.
• Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist:
  Minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Principal Nuclear Medicine Technologist:
  Minimum 7 years’ experience.
