The Burn Inpatient unit and Outpatient clinic ncis provide care for patients undergoing intensive burn care, patients requiring complex medical management, as well as follow‑up management of burn care.

• A minimum one year of recent experience working in Acute or Critical Care as a Physician Assistant
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, communication, case management, leadership/problem identification/resolution, and teaching
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an Inpatient Physician Assistant in an academic medical center

• Active and current California Physician Assistant License (PA)
• California driver’s license (CDL) if required for position
• Current national board certification (NCCPA) by first day of work and maintain
• Active DEA registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 to a California address
• Completion of an AAPA‑recognized graduate master’s degree program as a physician assistant
• Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through the credentialing process by first clinical day
• Current AHA BLS
• Current AHA ACLS

UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
