UCSF Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care seeks a Pain Psychologist to join our faculty practice. This full-time faculty position is available at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The pain psychology faculty will work at the UCSF Center for Pain Medicine, within the Division of Pain Medicine.
Responsibilities- Conduct intake evaluations and clinical assessments for suitability for neuromodulation therapies.
- Provide individual psychotherapy and group psychotherapy for patients with chronic pain.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary, educational environment with physician and non-physician trainees as part of the care team.
- Engage in scholarship and research to advance the field of pain psychology and contribute to scholarly activities.
- Develop and implement innovative clinical care models in pain psychology.
- Doctoral degree (or equivalent) in Psychology or related field.
- Completion of postdoctoral training in health psychology, with a preference for an APA-accredited clinical fellowship in pain psychology.
- California licensure to practice psychology.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay by rank and step. The minimum base salary range for this position is $121,900 - $319,800. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, with eligibility for additional compensation. The total negotiated salary will include base salary plus any negotiated components, determined at the time of offer.
